Eligibility/Qualification:

  • A Master’s degree or equivalent in Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Cosmetology, Plant Science, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in laboratory research, preferably in natural product extraction, chemical analysis, or biological assays.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Interest in multidisciplinary research integrating toxicology, cellular and molecular biology, phytochemistry, cosmetology, and plant science.
  • Ability to identify research problems, develop hypotheses, and design experiments.
  • Capability to work collaboratively in a diverse research team.
  • Proactive and self-motivated approach to research.
  • Strong publication record or potential for scholarly contributions.
  • Adaptability to new methodologies and research directions.
  • Dedication to project objectives and professional conduct.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of French or Arabic is advantageous.

Job Description:

  • Optimize extraction methods for essential oils from specific plant species to improve yield and purity.
  • Explore innovative techniques to enhance the efficiency of bioactive compound integration into cosmetic formulations.
  • Investigate methods to optimize the extraction of specific biomolecules from residual biomass to enhance their purity and therapeutic potential, particularly for diabetes-related complications.
  • Conduct efficacy tests on isolated compounds to evaluate their antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-aging, and anti-inflammatory activities.
