Eligibility/Qualification:
- MSc degree in Chemistry (or equivalent)
- Strong synthetic skills and knowledge in spectroscopic characterizations (NMR, UV-Vis, IR)
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
Advantageous Qualifications:
- Experience in Polymer Chemistry and/or polymer materials (thermoplastics, elastomers)
- Familiarity with thermomechanical characterization of polymers
- Background in mechanical characterization of polymer materials
Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing experimental lab work, conducting formal analysis and processing of data. Key responsibilities include:
- Organic synthesis, optimization, and spectroscopic characterization of novel functionalized monomers suitable for polycondensation techniques.
- Synthesis of polymers, thermoplastics, and elastomeric materials, along with physicochemical and thermomechanical characterization.
- Investigation of on-demand degradation, hydrolytic aging, and the self-healing/self-reinforcement of polymer-based materials.
