Postdoctoral Researchers in Mathematics or Statistics: The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Jyväskylä is seeking to hire five to ten Postdoctoral Researchers in Mathematics or Statistics for a fixed term of 1–3 years, starting on September 1st, 2024, or as agreed. The positions involve research in geometric analysis, inverse problems, geometric measure theory, harmonic analysis, nonlinear partial differential equations, and statistics in ecology.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • A Ph.D. degree is required by the starting date of the contract.
  • Good command of English, with proficiency in teaching in English considered beneficial.
  • Recent completion of a doctoral degree or close to completion.

Job Description:

  • Conduct scientific research in the specified areas of mathematics or statistics.
  • Minimal teaching duties within the candidate’s areas of expertise.
