PhD Position in VR-Retrofit-4U: Facilitating a Person-Centred Energy Transition

Delft University of Technology, Delft, Netherlands

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science specializing in Computer Graphics, or related fields (Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering).
  • Familiarity with C++, OpenGL, GPU programming, and/or Virtual Reality.
  • Experience in computer graphics/image processing is preferred.
  • Good communication skills and a command of the English language (knowledge of Dutch is not required).
  • A curiosity-driven research mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Job Description:

The selected candidate will conduct research on realistic visualization and collaborative methods in immersive environments. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing tools and visualizations that translate technical concepts into accessible formats for stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with partners in Living Labs to implement user-oriented approaches.
  • Engaging in decision-making processes to build trust and transparency among participants.
  • Participating in the TU Delft Graduate School for professional development.
