Scholarship Description:
PhD Position: Adaptive Digital Twins for Precision Agriculture
The successful candidate will work on integrating sensor data with adaptive AI techniques, creating a digital twin for futuristic greenhouses. This project involves collaboration with researchers from horticulture and energy domains, as well as stakeholders from greenhouse companies. AI, specifically deep learning and reinforcement learning, will be applied alongside software/systems engineering to achieve the project’s goals.
Eligibility: Candidates should possess a university degree (MSc) in a relevant discipline (e.g., computer science, data science, artificial intelligence, or agricultural sciences). Proficiency in AI techniques, programming languages (especially Python), and a keen interest in digital twinning and precision agriculture are essential. Familiarity with sensing and IoT technologies or a strong interest in learning these techniques is desirable.
