PhD Positions in Computer Science and Law: The Department of Computer Science and the School of Law at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) are delighted to announce openings for two full-time PhD positions in Computer Science and one part-time (75%) PhD position in Law. These positions are part of the Research Training Group 2475 “Cybercrime and Forensic Computing,” funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). The successful candidates will delve into interdisciplinary research areas bridging computer science and criminal law, commencing on October 1, 2024.
Scholarship Opportunity: PhD Positions in Computer Science and Law

Eligibility/Qualification: Applicants must possess an outstanding academic record and hold an MSc, LL.M., or equivalent degree in computer science, law, or related disciplines. The goal should be to complete a PhD degree within three years. Additionally, proficiency in English is required.
Description: The Research Training Group aims to explore research questions at the intersection of computer science and criminal law. Key research areas include Human Factors in Security, Cryptography, Provable Security, Secure Messaging, and Data Protection in law enforcement and criminal procedure.
