Research Area
The position involves applied agroecological research within the interdisciplinary European project DairyPathS, evaluating the impact of agroecological adaptations on sustainability aspects in milk production systems.
Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in: Ecology, Environmental Science, Agronomy, or a related field.
- Experience: Documented research experience and interest in the field.
- Skills: Evidence of independently initiating and completing research projects, writing and publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and proficiency in English.
- Meritorious: Experience in biodiversity and ecosystem services modeling, GIS, inter- and transdisciplinary collaboration, and quantitative knowledge synthesis (meta-analysis). Proficiency in Swedish is a plus.
Job Description
The postdoctoral researcher will:
- Evaluate how various agroecological practices impact biodiversity and ecosystem services on dairy farms.
- Conduct knowledge syntheses regarding the effects of agroecological measures.
- Collaborate with project partners to integrate biodiversity and ecosystem services into existing socio-economic and agronomic models.
- Analyze selected ecosystem services, such as biological control and pollination, at the landscape level.
- Participate in local living lab scenarios in collaboration with stakeholders.
