Research Area

The PhD projects will focus on:

  1. Designing new synthetic routes for organic molecules, transition metal complexes, and functionalized carbon nanomaterials.
  2. Analyzing electronic structures and properties using various spectroscopic and crystallographic techniques.
  3. Utilizing synthesized materials for energy storage or as selective sensing elements.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • M.Sc. degree or equivalent in Chemistry or a related area.
  • Background in synthetic chemistry.
  • Exceptional candidates holding a B.Sc. degree may also be considered.
  • Experience in air- and moisture-free manipulation techniques and electrochemistry is advantageous but not required.
  • Strong motivation, collaboration skills, and proficiency in English.

Description

PhD candidates will engage in multidisciplinary research, gaining hands-on experience in synthesizing and characterizing organic and inorganic materials. The program emphasizes collaborative work, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in an international and diverse team environment. The selected candidates will also be involved in energy storage and sensor device fabrication and testing.
