MEM Curriculum
- A “laurea magistrale” awarded in accordance with D.M. 270/2004 or an equivalent qualification from a foreign university (Master’s Degree).
- Applicants awaiting their qualification at the time of submission can apply if they have passed all degree course exams and will be awarded the qualification before the academic activities begin.
MEM-Clinical Curriculum
- Enrollment on the Medical Register.
- Possession of a specialist medical qualification or being in the final year of specialist training at Humanitas University.
Job Description
PhD students in the MEM Programme will engage in full-time research activities under the supervision of a designated supervisor. The programme offers two curricula:
MEM Curriculum
Focuses on various fields such as oncological immunopathology, molecular cardiometabolics, genetics, and neurosciences, with an overarching theme of regenerative and precision medicine. Training includes enabling technologies like imaging, flow cytometry, genomics, and bioinformatics.
MEM-Clinical Curriculum
Combines basic or clinical experimental research with clinical practice, including patient enrolment and assessment in specific trials. Students will also perform ordinary clinical practice in the hospital (up to 20 hours per week) and engage in experimental laboratory activities.
Both curricula involve participation in Journal Clubs, seminars, congresses, and interdisciplinary meetings. Students are encouraged to work independently and collaborate internationally.
