PhD Research and Innovation Scholarship in Synchrotron Methods and Applications
Designation: Doctoral (PhD) Student
Research Area: Solid State Physics with a focus on Multimodal Characterization of Magnetic Nanomaterials
Location: Uppsala, Sweden
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Completion of a master’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field
- Basic knowledge and skills in X-ray scattering
- Exemption from having resided in Sweden for more than 12 months during the period of 2021-08-30 to 2024-08-31
- Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level)
Job Description:
The successful candidate will conduct cutting-edge research in the field of solid-state physics, focusing on the investigation of physical and chemical properties of nanomaterials and compounds. The work will involve participating in the research project, attending PhD courses, teaching (up to 20%), and independently running projects within the specified subject area. Additionally, the role entails traveling for international conferences, project meetings, and specialized courses to complement knowledge.
