PhD Research Fellow in Brain Physics: The University of Oslo is offering a PhD Research Fellow position in Computational Neuroscience and Brain Physics. Eligibility/Qualification

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a mathematically-oriented Engineering degree.
  • Completion of a foreign degree (M.Sc.-level) equivalent to a minimum of four years in the Norwegian educational system.
  • Experience in mathematical modeling and programming.
  • Fluent oral and written communication skills in English.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in computational neuroscience.

Additional Requirements:

  • The researcher must be a doctoral candidate (not possess a doctoral degree at the recruitment date).
  • Must comply with the mobility rule of having not resided or performed main activities in Norway for more than 12 months in the last 36 months.

Job Description

The PhD project will focus on:

  • Biophysical modeling of electrical and magnetic brain signals.
  • Investigating how externally applied fields influence neural dynamics.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting independent research and collaborating with team members.
  • Engaging in a stimulating work environment and participating in research training.
