Eligibility/Qualification

  • Master’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology or Biochemistry (or submitted thesis prior to deadline of application).
  • Experience in cell and molecular biology is required.
  • Advantageous qualifications include:
  • Knowledge in lipid and RNA biology.
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture or Drosophila melanogaster.
  • Skills in computational biology for RNA sequencing data analysis.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong collaborative skills and adherence to high research ethics.

Job Description

As a PhD Research Fellow, your research will concentrate on understanding the mechanisms regulating alternative splicing via lipid-mediated signaling pathways in human cancer cells and Drosophila melanogaster. You will employ various cell/molecular biology and biochemical methods, including CRISPR-Cas9 editing, to identify splicing changes driven by signaling pathways.
