Research Area:
The selected candidate will be involved in the investigation and preclinical studies of potential treatments for schistosomiasis and other neglected tropical diseases, focusing on analytical chemistry and pharmacokinetics.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- MSc degree in chemistry, pharmacy, biology, or related fields
- Proficiency and hands-on experience in LC-MS/MS and analytical method development
- Interest in parasitology research and work with rodents
- Excellent laboratory skills
- Strong communication skills in English (French and/or German is an asset)
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and enthusiastic about a multidisciplinary work environment
Job Description:
As a PhD candidate, the responsibilities will include:
- Developing a sensitive, selective, and rapid LC-MS/MS method for drug analysis
- Conducting pharmacokinetic studies with diverse doses and treatment regimens in mice, humanized mice, and hamsters
- Assisting with pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic modeling
- Conducting combination chemotherapy studies with the lead candidate and other antischistosomal drugs
