Scholarship Description
The research will be conducted within the Realistic 3D research group at the STC research center. The project involves collaboration with international academic and industrial partners. Key topics include six degrees of viewing freedom, super-resolution for 360 video streaming, and integrating 3D scanned objects into augmented reality for remote operation systems. The role includes independent third-cycle studies with 80% research and 20% teaching and administrative tasks.
Eligibility
- General Requirements: Second-cycle level qualification or equivalent (at least 240 credits, with 60 at second-cycle level).
- Specific Requirements: At least 90 credits in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or Mathematics, or equivalent.
- Assessment Criteria: Expertise in Image Processing, Computer/Machine Vision, Machine and Deep Learning, and Optimization algorithms; strong mathematical skills; proficiency in software programming (e.g., Python/PyTorch/Tensorflow); excellent English communication skills. Merits include experience with immersive media (AR/VR), inverse problems, high-performance computing, and GPU parallel processing.
