Job Description

The PhD project focuses on the development of bespoke algorithms for optimizing chemical processes in flow chemistry. Key tasks include:

  • Comparing design-of-experiments with self-optimizing methods.
  • Iteratively developing and selecting algorithms to optimize cost, yield, and sustainability.
  • Generating and refining process models for organic materials.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in the Materials Innovation Factory.
  • Participating in a tailored training program developed with industrial partners.

This project addresses the global need for skilled researchers in materials chemistry, AI, and automation, providing opportunities for impactful contributions to R&D and society.
