Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Motivated early-career researchers with backgrounds in fluid dynamics, mechanical engineering, computational physics, applied physics, mathematics, geophysics, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Fortran, C/C++, MATLAB, or Python is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.
  • Ability to thrive in an international research environment.
  • Strong interest in fluid mechanics, wind energy, and atmospheric dynamics.

Job Description:

  • Engage in pioneering research to assess the interplay between wind farms and clouds.
  • Investigate the impact of time-dependent atmospheric changes on wind farm performance.
  • Develop novel large-eddy simulation strategies for wind farm flows.
  • Conduct research on the interaction of clouds with wind farm efficiency and atmospheric transport processes.
  • Present research findings at international conferences and contribute to team research efforts.
