PhD Scholarship in Organic Chemistry: The Laboratory of Glycochemistry and Agroresources of Amiens (LG2A) at the University of Picardie Jules Verne (UPJV) is offering a fully-funded PhD position in organic chemistry. This 36-month position, funded by the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation (MENRT), will focus on the synthesis of new Toll-Like Receptor (TLR) modulators to regulate inflammation and neuroinflammation, with a specific emphasis on TLR4. The PhD project will commence in September 2024.

Job Description

The selected PhD candidate will:

  • Synthesize new oligosaccharides with diverse structures and functions.
  • Expand a library of compounds for Structure-Activity Relationship (SAR) studies.
  • Validate a molecular modeling study to determine key interactions between compounds and TLR4.
  • Evaluate the interaction potential with receptors involved in inflammation.
