Scholarship Description
The PhD researcher will delve into the dynamic behavior of materials used in the automotive and aeronautical industry, employing advanced measurement methodologies. The goal is to develop more efficient testing methodologies, optimizing time and resources, to enhance our understanding of material characteristics. The researcher will also have opportunities for teaching and contributing to the daily operation of the lab.
Eligibility
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering or civil engineering.
- Strong focus on the mechanical behavior of materials in the curriculum.
- Interest in materials, their properties, and modeling.
- Familiarity with materials testing and experimental work.
- Proficiency in Matlab, Python programming, and preferably a finite element package.
- Independent, problem-solving, organized, and result-oriented.
- Dedication and hard-working attitude.
- Social skills, flexibility, and critical thinking for a multidisciplinary and international academic environment.
- Good knowledge of English (reading, writing, and speaking).
