Eligibility/Qualification
- Master’s degree in Data Engineering, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Informatics, or a related field.
- Essential skills:
- Theoretical and practical knowledge in statistical analysis, data mining, data integration, machine learning, deep learning, and bioinformatics.
- Familiarity with confidence/conformal prediction techniques.
- Desirable skills:
- Understanding of proteomic or related technologies.
- Basic knowledge of biological and (bio)chemical concepts.
- Strong motivation, flexibility, and ability to work on multiple projects.
- Good communication skills and proficiency in English.
Job Description
- Develop methods for model confidence estimation using conformal prediction and related techniques.
- Integrate confidence estimation into peptide property prediction workflows.
- Evaluate methods on diverse datasets, particularly in single-cell proteomics.
- Contribute to an enhanced data analysis pipeline for improved peptide and protein identification, particularly for post-translational modifications.
