Eligibility/Qualification
- Master’s degree in Physics, Material Science, or Electronics.
- Strong interest in solid-state physics, experimental research, and the development of new methods and instrumentation.
- Good written and spoken English skills.
- Experience with material growth, device fabrication in cleanrooms, magnetic imaging techniques, micromagnetic simulations, and Python is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Highly motivated, curious, eager to learn, self-driven, and a team player.
Job Description
Your tasks will include:
- Growing and patterning magnetic thin films using nanolithography techniques.
- Performing micromagnetic simulations to understand material behavior.
- Investigating patterned films through electron and X-ray imaging techniques, as well as electronic transport measurements.
- Collecting and analyzing research data.
- Presenting research findings at international conferences and publishing results in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
- Supporting the research team and collaborating with colleagues, including participation in beamtimes at large-scale facilities.
- Pursuing your PhD at PSI with formal enrollment at ETH Zurich.
