Eligibility/Qualification: To be considered for this position, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
  • Have completed courses totaling a minimum of 240 credits, with at least 60 credits in advanced courses within the relevant area.
  • Strong programming skills, preferably in C++, and a good understanding of graphics programming.
  • A passion for solving algorithmic challenges.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Knowledge and experience in applied visualization, topological data analysis, or computer graphics would be advantageous.

As a PhD student, your primary responsibilities will include:

Your Workplace: You will be part of the scientific visualization unit at Linköping University’s Department of Science and Technology. The focus is on basic research questions in scientific visualization, with an emphasis on topological data analysis. The Employment: This position offers a four-year full-time equivalent employment. Initially, you will be employed for one year, with the possibility of subsequent renewals for a maximum of two years based on your progress through the study plan. Extensions up to a total of five years are possible, depending on your involvement in teaching and departmental duties.
