PhD Student – Photonics Nanofabrication: The Leibniz Institute for Natural Product Research and Infection Biology (Leibniz-HKI), in collaboration with the National Ranimap for Research Infrastructures of the Federal City of Edcotonan Research (OMIBF), is seeking a talented and highly gifted Research Scientist to join their team. Eligibility/Qualification:

  • U.Sc degree in Life Sciences or related fields
  • Experience in low cytometry, cell culture, and high-dimensional single-cell data analysis and programming are a plus
  • Great enthusiasm for translational science
  • Very good communication and writing skills are necessary

Job Description: The Research Scientist will be responsible for investigating the regulation of human tissue resident T-cells and their crosstalk with the microenvironment in settings of solid organ transplantation. The research will focus on T-cell communication with the local tissue microenvironment in infections, allergies, and cancer. The candidate will explore novel T-cell functions and immunomodulatory factors using advanced techniques such as high-dimensional single-cell analysis and within the P1 network (sRNAseq, spectral flow cytometry). The goal is to translate fundamental insights into translational applications for human health and disease.
