Eligibility/Qualification:
- Master’s degree in biomedical sciences, (medical) biology, biochemistry, or bioinformatics
- Experience in molecular biology, immunology, and transcriptional regulation
- Willingness to learn transcriptomic and genomic data analysis and bioinformatics
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Enthusiastic team player with positive social skills
- Preferred: Experience with bioinformatics (e.g., in R)
Job Description:
- Investigate cytokine signaling pathways in macrophages beyond the known JAK-STAT pathways
- Identify transcription factors regulating macrophage cytokine responses using a natural genetic variation screen
- Validate and test transcription factors through knockdown/knockout strategies
- Utilize RNA-sequencing and ChIP-sequencing for data analysis
- Translate findings to disease models and align with human disease
