Eligibility

To qualify for this PhD project, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (preferred, ideally with a pharmacist license/Approbation), Biochemistry, Biology, or a related field.
  • Possess a strong interest in the pathophysiology of cardiovascular disease and scientific research.
  • Have excellent English language skills (at least level B2).
  • Be highly motivated, enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration, and integrate well into an international team.
  • Be willing to work with laboratory animals (required for experimental work; prior experience is an advantage but not mandatory).

Scholarship Description

This position is part of the CRC 1774 CARDDIAB network. The PhD student will conduct research on the pathophysiology of cardio-diabetes crosstalk. The role offers excellent personal mentoring with regular one-on-one meetings, membership in an international and multilingual team, and access to a worldwide network of scientific collaborations.
