PhD Student Position on Sodium-Metal Batteries with Solid Electrolytes – Graeber Lab for Energy Research

The PhD student will engage in research related to sodium-metal batteries using solid electrolytes as part of the BatiFutur project. The focus is on advancing understanding in interfacial thermodynamics, wetting, and phase change phenomena to improve the performance and reduce costs of energy conversion processes.

Eligibility: Candidates should have a solid background in engineering, chemistry, and/or materials science. An interest and aptitude in building experimental setups are crucial. Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required, and knowledge of German is advantageous. Priority will be given to candidates with experience in battery research. Expertise in interfacial thermodynamics and coating technologies is welcomed.
