Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Master’s degree (2:1 or equivalent GPA) in Media and Communications, Geography, Sociology, Anthropology, or other relevant disciplines.
  • Familiarity with qualitative research methodologies, including ethnographic methods and interviews.
  • Strong written command of English; C1 or C2 level CEFR advised.
  • Applicants from all nationalities are eligible, with a particular encouragement for women and people of color to apply.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will:

  • Conduct research on income-generating activities in the platform economy.
  • Utilize life-story interviews and other qualitative methods to gather and analyze data on workers’ labor histories.
  • Contribute to the €2.5 million ERC-funded project, collaborating with the LivePlatforms team to develop methodologies for data collection and critical analysis.
  • Attend seminars and workshops, and engage in teaching and tutor training during their studies.
