  • Master’s degree in Cellular or Molecular Biology and/or Computational Biology.
  • Experience in a research laboratory focused on molecular or cellular biology.
  • Preferred experience with cardiomyocyte culture maintenance and differentiation of iPSCs (cell types: cardiomyocytes, fibroblasts, endothelial cells, etc.).
  • Skills in programming (R, Python, and/or Matlab) and data processing.
  • Problem-solving mindset.
  • Motivation for wet-lab experimentation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Job Description

The PhD student will be part of the INSERM U932 “Immunity and Cancer” research unit at the Institut Curie. The project involves:

  • Studying the cellular and molecular ageing of the SmartHeart cardiac organoid.
  • Building a non-destructive biological clock for the SmartHeart.
  • Modelling the experimental data and behaviour of the SmartHeart to generate a digital twin.
  • Testing pharmacological interventions that impact the biological ageing of the SmartHeart.
    The student will spend 70% of their time at 4Dcell in Montreuil under the co-direction of Dr. Christophe Pannetier.
