Eligibility/Qualification

  • A minimum of a 2:1 honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
  • A relevant master’s degree and/or experience is desirable.
  • Candidates from any relevant STEM background are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong analytical skills and preferably experience in programming.

Job Description

The PhD project involves:

  • Examining how pedestrians read and interpret urban environments through eye-tracking methods.
  • Analyzing gaze patterns, attention distribution, and visual behavior.
  • Integrating eye-tracking data with spatial analysis to assess streetscape walkability.
  • Developing an evidence-based framework to enhance pedestrian experience and promote healthier urban lifestyles.
