Research Area

Job Description & Responsibilities
- Advanced Instrument Operation: Operate state-of-the-art transmission electron microscopes, including an aberration-corrected ThermoFisher Spectra 300 S/TEM equipped with high-energy-resolution monochromators and direct detection cameras.
- Technique Development:
- Design advanced scanning routines and acquisition workflows for STEM.
- Optimize low-dose, high-resolution imaging protocols for beam-sensitive systems (including 2D materials).
- Carry out in-depth analytical spectroscopy (EELS/EDX) on optoelectronic and semiconductor nanomaterials.
- Data-Driven Analysis: Develop software routines, machine learning models, and computer vision tools for analyzing large multidimensional datasets.
- Collaboration & Dissemination: Work closely in an interdisciplinary, multicultural research team, prepare high-impact scientific publications, and present research findings at international conferences.
