Eligibility/Qualification: Applicants should hold a PhD degree in biology/biochemistry with a strong background in plant sciences. Experience in molecular biology, protein biochemistry, and relevant techniques is required. Additional experience in bioinformatics, microscopy, metabolomics, and proteomics is advantageous. Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential.

Job Description: As a Post-Doctoral researcher in the Laboratory of Prof. Samuel C. Zeeman, you will contribute to research focused on understanding how plants synthesize carbohydrate polymers, particularly starch, and how they adopt a semi-crystalline state. This interdisciplinary research requires a combination of molecular genetics, advanced microscopy, cell biology techniques, and in-vitro/in-vivo biochemistry. You will have access to cutting-edge facilities for microscopy, proteomics, nucleotide sequence analysis, metabolomics, and plant growth. The position is available from autumn or as per mutual agreement.
