Postdoctoral Research Associate or Fellow University of Exeter – Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy
The role entails the following responsibilities:
- Conduct desk-based research and surveys to develop an understanding of community-led climate change action in England.
- Organize and conduct in-depth qualitative interviews, collaborative workshops, and community events.
- Collaborate with project partners and the wider team, including health researchers.
- Perform analysis and collaborate on generating outcomes such as journal articles, presentations, and stakeholder reports/briefings.
About You: The ideal candidate should have the ability to develop research objectives, projects, and proposals, identify sources of research funding, and make presentations at conferences and events. Applicants should possess a relevant PhD (or be nearing completion for Associate) or equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study. The successful candidate should be a nationally recognized authority in environmental or health geographies or related disciplines, with specialist knowledge to develop research programs and methodologies. Collaborative work skills, supervision abilities, and team leadership experience are essential. Candidates should be proficient in qualitative research and analysis, establishing connections with community groups, producing written and verbal research outputs, and performing research organization and administrative tasks. Experience with quantitative and qualitative mapping techniques and surveys is desirable.
