Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Minimum Education: PhD in Evolution, Genetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Required Qualifications: Strong research background in evolutionary genetics and/or computational genomics.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Motivated individual with a keen interest in team science.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will support the Schrider Lab in:

  1. Developing and applying computational methods to study the impacts of adaptation, recombination, introgression, and demographic changes on genetic diversity.
  2. Clarifying phylogenetic relationships among species and genealogical relationships of individuals within species.
  3. Investigating evolutionary questions in mosquito genomes.
  4. Analyzing evolutionary models, including therapeutic resistance evolution in cancer, utilizing simulation and/or analytical theory.
