Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD in Chemistry (or expected soon)
  • Experience in organic synthesis, supramolecular chemistry, and physical organic chemistry is required.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Professor Christopher Hunter on an ERC programme aimed at developing new approaches to template synthesis. Duties include:

  • Synthesis of oligomeric templates
  • Development of reliable chemistry for templating processes
  • Organic synthesis of building blocks and templates
  • Characterization of 3D structures of adducts
  • Reaction optimization and kinetic/mechanistic analysis

Candidates will also supervise and train undergraduate and postgraduate students, manage daily laboratory operations, and communicate their research through oral presentations, internal reports, and draft publications.
