Post-doctoral Fellow in Ecology: The School of Biological Sciences at The University of Hong Kong, in collaboration with the Department of Biology, Mahidol University, invites applications for a Post-doctoral Fellow position in the Biodiversity and Environmental Change Lab. The successful candidate will investigate climatic resilience of rice herbivore pests and their natural enemies, exploring the impact of pesticide use on species thermotolerances.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in insect ecology (or close to submission)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience in insect identification
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Strong publishing record
  • Good time management and collaborative work ability

Job Description: The post-doctoral fellow will lead field collections and lab-based experiments, conduct data analysis, and contribute to scientific publications. The research will focus on assessing thermal tolerances of herbivores and predators in the context of pesticide exposure and climate warming in the major rice growing region of Thailand. The role involves collaboration with stakeholders in Thailand and international dissemination of research findings.
