Eligibility/Qualification–

Ph.D degree in Biology from a recognized University/Institute. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of postdoctoral experience.
Candidates who have submitted their thesis and awaiting the award of a Ph.D. degree may also apply.
Candidates should provide evidence of having conducted high-quality research during or after their Ph. D. program.

Desirable qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with experience in python and R programming. Knowledge of yeast genetics, meiosis, DNA repair, or genome biology is a plus.

Age

Not more than 40 years as of the closing date of the advertisement.

Job/Position Description-

The Institute invites applications from Indian nationals for the following position on purely contract basis:

Name of the post	Post-Doctoral Research Fellow
Title of the Project	Mechanisms of DNA break and repair in meiosis
Principal Investigator	Dr. Viji Subramanian
Research Area	Genomics, Genetics, Molecular biology
Fellowship	Rs. 58000/- p.m. + 9% HRA if the candidate produces the Ph.D. Certificate. Rs. 42000/- p.m. + 9% HRA – for those candidates whose Ph. D. degree is awaited. However, the candidate must produce a letter from a competent authority stating that the thesis has been submitted and the final viva/defense is pending. A nominal research grant will be available under this program.
