Job Description
The successful candidate will:
- Lead innovative, high-impact research aligned with the Topp Lab’s mission
- Publish findings in leading peer-reviewed journals
- Collaborate across disciplines and institutions
- Mentor graduate students, undergraduates, and technical staff
- Develop fellowship and independent funding proposals
Research Focus Includes:
- Genome-wide association and quantitative genetics of root traits
- Integration of genomic, transcriptomic, and metabolomic datasets
- Gene editing and validation of candidate loci
- Cell and developmental biology of root growth and branching
- Plant–microbe interactions, including arbuscular mycorrhizal symbiosis
