Eligibility/Qualification

  • Ph.D. in Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Photonics, Numerical Mathematics, or Scientific Computing.
  • Experience (3-5 years) in computational electromagnetics, finite element methods, and numerical optimization.
  • Software development skills in Python, Fortran 2003, and parallel programming (MPI/OpenMP).
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Job Description

The successful candidate will engage in the following main activities:

  1. Develop modeling techniques for active and dynamically tunable metasurfaces.
  2. Investigate nonlinear metasurfaces focusing on phenomena such as second-harmonic generation.
  3. Set up inverse design workflows using the EGO optimization algorithm for innovative metasurface designs.
  4. Collaborate with physicists on experimental validation and publication of research findings in high-ranked journals.
