The University of Namur is seeking a full-time Post-Doctoral Researcher for the Department of Biomedical Sciences. The successful candidate will contribute to the “Patient-centered Approach for Research and Interventions in Sarcopenia (PARIS)” project, aimed at enhancing interventional research in sarcopenia by integrating patient-centered principles.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Degree: PhD in Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Public Health
  • Experience:
  • Established expertise in applied research related to sarcopenia or musculoskeletal health.
  • Minimum of three scientific publications as the first author in relevant journals.
  • Additional Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with health economics, Health Technology Assessment (HTA), and Patient Reported Outcomes Measures (PROMS) is an asset.

Job Description

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing an utility questionnaire derived from the SarQoL questionnaire.
  • Participating in a multicentric project evaluating patient treatment preferences for sarcopenia.
  • Conducting pilot studies in osteosarcopenia, including cohort analysis and network meta-analysis.
  • Writing and submitting scientific articles, reports, and presentations.
  • Supervising projects conducted by assistive researchers and master’s students.
  • Engaging in academic activities like supervising and evaluating master’s theses.
