Eligibility/Qualifications

  • PhD in Computational Biophysics, Structural Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in molecular dynamics simulations.
  • Proficient in statistical analysis and simulation result visualization.
  • Strong programming skills (Python).
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a track record of scientific publications.
  • Experience with cryo-EM data interpretation and flexible fitting techniques is a plus.

Job Description

The candidate will engage in the KirFlex research project funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR), collaborating with IMPMC at Sorbonne University. Duties involve:

  • Utilizing enhanced sampling methods (Hybrid Molecular Dynamics and Normal Mode Analysis) to explore conformational dynamics.
  • Investigating allosteric regulation networks of the Kir2.1 potassium channel.
  • Collaborating closely with experimentalists to interpret and integrate multiple experimental data sets.
