Eligibility & Qualifications

Essential Qualifications (Must-Have):

  • Education: Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Toxicology, or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years (≥3 years) of extensive hands-on cell culture experience.
  • Scientific Output: Solid publication record commensurate with career stage; exceptional scientific writing and communication skills in English.
  • Methodology: Strong foundation in experimental design, statistical analysis, reproducibility, and research data management best practices.
  • Competencies: Proven ability to independently solve complex research tasks, contribute to living laboratory activities, and support multidisciplinary collaborations.

Desirable Qualifications (Beneficial):

  • Direct experience with nanomaterials and nano–bio interfaces (e.g., protein corona formation, colloidal stability, intracellular trafficking, lysosomal biology).
  • Proven hands-on proficiency in advanced biological techniques:
    • Flow cytometry
    • Confocal microscopy / Live-cell imaging
    • High-content analysis / Microplate reader assays
    • ELISA and multiplex cytokine assays
    • qPCR and Western blotting

Job Description & Responsibilities

  • In-Vitro Experimental Leadership: Design and execute in-vitro experiments to assess mechanisms of cellular uptake, endo-lysosomal trafficking, immunomodulation, and therapy-relevant regulated cell-death programs (e.g., ferroptosis/cuproptosis).
  • Cross-Disciplinary Synergy: Collaborate closely with materials scientists to correlate biological readouts with physicochemical descriptors of advanced nanomaterials.
  • Cell Model Management: Maintain diverse mammalian cell lines (cancer, healthy, and immune cells) and design exposure regimes under acute and chronic conditions.
  • Data & Dissemination: Perform quantitative data analysis, data visualization, and manuscript drafting for high-impact international journals.
  • Project Coordination: Work in synergy with internal teams and external international partner institutions.
