- 💰 The salary is in accordance with the collective labor agreement of the State of Hessen (E 13 TV-H).
- 🌱 The project aims to develop a computer model simulating the spread of non-native species through anthropogenic transport networks.
- 📊 The model will be based on existing approaches and open/FAIR data, testing understanding of spread processes and projecting future dynamics.
- 📝 Responsibilities include model development, validation, testing alternative approaches, data preparation, and analysis of species distributions.
- 📚 Optional tasks include integrating scenarios for future dynamics or extending the model to cover impacts of invasive species.
- 🎓 Qualifications include a completed PhD in ecology, geography, statistics, mathematics, or related fields, with strong skills in R programming.
- 🌐 Desired competences include experience in modeling spreading dynamics, analyzing large data sets, and writing scientific publications.
- 🌍 JLU offers a stimulating international research environment, flexible working hours, and various training opportunities.
