Job Description:

POSTDOC FELLOWSHIP — GENETIC MECHANISMS OF BRAIN DEVELOPMENT AND DISEASE

The research project, supported by Fondazione Telethon-Fondazione Cariplo, involves a CRISPR-Cas9-based high-throughput screen in human brain organoids to identify downstream effectors of the SOX2 transcription factor in neurodevelopmental disease. SOX2 mutations can lead to brain defects, blindness, mental retardation, and seizures. Understanding the molecular mechanisms of brain defects is crucial for developing therapies. Identifying genes important for neural cell proliferation and neuronal function is a key aspect of this research.

How to Apply: To apply, send your CV, letter of motivation, and contact information for one or two referees to silianicols@unimib by October 30, 2023. Please use “ASSEGNO DI RICERCA” as the email subject.
