Job Description
The researcher will be embedded in the AICell Lab, led by Wei Ouyang, and will collaborate closely with Avlant Nilsson’s cancer cell modeling lab at Karolinska Institutet and the data team at the Human Protein Atlas. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing next-generation AI systems for molecular and cell biology.
- Interpreting complex biological datasets, specifically imaging and multimodal molecular data.
- Collaborating across computational and experimental teams within a multi-institutional framework.
- Writing modular, well-documented, and reproducible code.
Eligibility & Qualifications
Requirements:
- A doctoral degree (must be met by the time of the employment decision).
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD obtained within the last three years.
- Strong foundation in biological systems, cell biology, and biological modeling.
- Experience with modern deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, JAX).
- Background in computational biology, bioinformatics, or machine learning.
- Proven experience working with imaging and multimodal biological datasets.
- Effective communication skills and a commitment to diversity and gender equality.
