Research Focus
The primary project explores how ATRX influences immunotherapy response, using murine and cell line models (including genetically engineered lung cancer models). The research aims to uncover biological insights into epigenetic mechanisms of resistance and assist in developing new therapeutic strategies. Beyond the main project, the Associate will have the opportunity to work on:
- CAR T cell therapy for lung cancer.
- Preclinical studies assessing combination immunotherapies.
- Potential early clinical trials for patients with lung, head & neck, and melanoma cancers.
Job Responsibilities
- Experimental Design: Plan and execute advanced translational cancer research.
- Laboratory Work: Perform in vitro studies on human cancer cell lines and in vivo studies using syngeneic and genetically engineered mouse models.
- Management: Maintain cancer cell cultures and oversee mouse colony management.
- Analysis: Interpret data using statistical and bioinformatic approaches.
- Communication: Prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals, present findings at scientific meetings, and contribute to grant writing.
- Operations: Assist in laboratory maintenance, regulatory compliance, and safety standards.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Required: MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field. No prior experience is required.
- Preferred: A strong background in laboratory research, specifically with immunological experiments, flow cytometry, animal work, and cellular/molecular biology.
- Skills: Excellent oral and written communication, effective teamwork, and strong organizational skills.
