Eligibility/Qualification

  • Ph.D. in a relevant natural science discipline (e.g., environmental microbiology, geomicrobiology, biogeochemistry, microbial ecology, and evolution).
  • Expert knowledge in microbial ecology and biogeochemistry.
  • Strong skills in laboratory work, data analysis, and bioinformatics.

Job Description

The postdoctoral researcher will:

  • Conduct laboratory experiments and fieldwork in remote Arctic regions.
  • Analyze the activity and dormancy of microbial communities in cryospheric environments.
  • Collaborate with doctoral students and technical staff in the project team.
  • Generate, analyze, and publish data in leading academic journals.
  • Contribute to the development of the SIESTA project goals.
