Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD degree in Climate Science, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and measurement skills, particularly in spectroscopic and IRMS measurements of trace gases.
- Proficiency in programming, especially with Python or R.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Job Description:
- Develop a flask sampling system for isotopic measurements of N2O from background sites, including testing at the Jungfraujoch.
- Measure N2O isotopic composition in flask samples using the “RAPTOR-QCLAS” system.
- Collaborate with Swiss and international research groups to improve the N2O isotopic record.
- Ensure calibration traceability and manage data documentation processes.
- Present research findings at conferences, contribute to project meetings and reports, and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
