Eligibility/Qualification

  • Master’s degree in life sciences (equivalent to a Danish master’s degree: 120 ECTS/2 FTE MSc + 180 ECTS/3 FTE BSc).
  • Excellent microbiology/molecular biology laboratory skills.
  • Experience in bioinformatics and sequence analysis.
  • Interest or experience in advanced microscopy.
  • High level of motivation, responsibility, flexibility, and strong collaborative skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken.

Job Description

As a PhD student, you will:

  • Conduct independent research under supervision.
  • Complete PhD courses or equivalent training (approx. 30 ECTS points).
  • Participate in collaborative environments, including a stay at one of the partnering institutions (Harvard Medical School or University of Greifswald).
  • Teach and disseminate knowledge.
  • Write a PhD thesis and publish peer-reviewed scientific papers.
