Eligibility/Qualification
- Must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
- Previous experience in genomic data analysis, particularly with low-coverage and high-coverage whole-genome sequencing.
- Familiarity with genomic tools such as ANGSD and experience in ancient DNA analysis is a plus.
Job Description
As a postdoctoral researcher, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing genomic data from various externally funded projects related to fisheries genomics.
- Performing bioinformatics analyses on diverse genomic data sets.
- Conducting genomic analyses of archived marine fish material to explore historical genetic changes.
- Engaging in field and experimental work to collect samples and relevant metadata.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to integrate findings to advance our understanding of fisheries genomics.
- Preparing and presenting research findings in scientific publications.
- Contributing to the teaching of MSc courses at the department.
