Eligibility/Qualification

  • Must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
  • Previous experience in genomic data analysis, particularly with low-coverage and high-coverage whole-genome sequencing.
  • Familiarity with genomic tools such as ANGSD and experience in ancient DNA analysis is a plus.

Job Description

As a postdoctoral researcher, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing genomic data from various externally funded projects related to fisheries genomics.
  • Performing bioinformatics analyses on diverse genomic data sets.
  • Conducting genomic analyses of archived marine fish material to explore historical genetic changes.
  • Engaging in field and experimental work to collect samples and relevant metadata.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to integrate findings to advance our understanding of fisheries genomics.
  • Preparing and presenting research findings in scientific publications.
  • Contributing to the teaching of MSc courses at the department.
