Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Mechanochemistry, or related field
  • Experience in catalysis, polymer science, or spectroscopy is preferred

Job Description

The objective of this project is to develop innovative recycling technologies for plastics using mechanochemistry. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing new chemical recycling technologies for polyolefins
  • Investigating reactions in a shaking ball mill at elevated temperatures and under gas atmosphere
  • Understanding the mechanisms of polymer chain cleavage
  • Applying advanced spectroscopic and analytic techniques (e.g., EPR, SEC, Raman, IR, TGA)
  • Collaborating with a diverse team of researchers and supervising junior team members
