Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in computational physics or engineering.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and C++.
  • Experience with complex code frameworks.
  • Knowledge of superconductor technology.
  • Knowledge in magnetic confinement fusion and Stellarators is beneficial.
  • Excellent English communication skills.

Job Description:

  • Develop computational models of the Stellarator 3D magnet system.
  • Improve and benchmark Biot-Savart, force, and quench protection models.
  • Incorporate constraints related to coil curvature and strain.
  • Apply models to sensitivity studies and optimization.
  • Support Stellarator reactor studies through interface specification.
  • Publish and communicate scientific results.
  • Supervise PhD students.
